Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition

Rockstar Games brought back the trilogy that defined a generation with Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, a 2021 collection remastering Grand Theft Auto III, Vice City, and San Andreas. Grove Street Games handled the heavy lifting to update these titles for modern systems like PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch. Players return to Liberty City as silent protagonist Claude in 2001, step into the neon-soaked shoes of mobster Tommy Vercetti in 1986's Vice City, or guide Carl Johnson through the sprawling state of San Andreas in 1992. The team copied physics code from the originals while using artificial intelligence to upscale textures and adding lighting effects borrowed from Grand Theft Auto V.[edit]
