General Grievous

General Grievous was originally Qymaen jai Sheelal, a Kaleesh warlord from the planet Kalee. His people were engaged in a brutal conflict with the Huk, an insectoid species, during which he earned a reputation as a fierce warrior. The Jedi Order refused to intervene, leading to widespread suffering among the Kaleesh. Grievous blamed the Jedi for his people's plight. Count Dooku, secretly a Sith Lord, manipulated events to orchestrate a shuttle crash that left Grievous mortally wounded. Dooku then offered him a new body, transforming him into a cyborg designed to be the ultimate Jedi killer. Grievous underwent extensive cybernetic augmentation, gaining superhuman abilities and a mechanical body that could wield multiple lightsabers. Grievous is ruthless, cunning, and arrogant, taking great pride in his collection of lightsabers taken from fallen Jedi. He repeatedly clashes with Obi-Wan Kenobi, their rivalry culminating in a duel on Utapau where Kenobi kills him by blasting him in the chest with a blaster and then using the Force to pull a lightsaber into his hand. In The Clone Wars, Grievous develops a grudging respect for Ahsoka Tano and Anakin Skywalker, though he never overcomes his hatred.
