    Overview

    Origin Story

Asajj Ventress was born among the Nightsisters of Dathomir, a clan of Force-wielding witches. As an infant, she was surrendered into slavery. She was later rescued by Jedi Master Ky Narec, who recognized her Force sensitivity and trained her as his Padawan. They were stranded on the war-torn planet Rattatak, where they became protectors of the weak. When Narec was killed by pirates, Ventress's grief and rage consumed her, leading her to fall to the dark side. She slaughtered the pirates and declared herself ruler of Rattatak. Count Dooku discovered her and took her as his informal Sith apprentice, training her as an assassin to serve the Separatist cause.

    Personality

Ventress is fierce, calculating, and driven by a deep well of anger and pain. She is fiercely independent, refusing to be a pawn for long. Her wit is sharp, and she often engages in sarcastic banter with enemies like Obi-Wan Kenobi. Despite her dark exterior, she harbors a desire for belonging and respect, which makes her vulnerable to betrayal. She values strength and loyalty but is quick to distrust others due to her traumatic past. Her journey shows a gradual softening, as she learns to care for others and seek redemption.

    Story Arc

Ventress begins as Dooku's loyal assassin, carrying out missions against the Jedi and Republic. She clashes repeatedly with Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi. However, Dooku betrays her on Darth Sidious's orders, attempting to have her killed. She survives and returns to the Nightsisters on Dathomir, seeking revenge. With Mother Talzin's help, she creates Savage Opress as a weapon against Dooku, but the plan backfires. After the Nightsisters are decimated by General Grievous, Ventress becomes a bounty hunter, working for herself. She eventually teams up with Jedi Quinlan Vos to assassinate Dooku. During their mission, they fall in love. To save Vos from Dooku's attack, Ventress sacrifices herself, using the Force to push him aside. She is later resurrected by Mother Talzin and appears in the Bad Batch era, seeking a new path away from the dark side.
