Count Dooku

Born into the noble House Serenno, Dooku was identified as Force-sensitive at a young age and taken to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. He was trained by Yoda himself, becoming a Jedi Master renowned for his skill and intellect. During his time as a Jedi, Dooku grew increasingly frustrated with what he saw as the Republic's corruption and the Jedi Order's passive compliance. The death of his former Padawan, Qui-Gon Jinn, at the hands of Darth Maul deepened his disillusionment. Eventually, he left the Jedi Order, reclaimed his birthright as Count of Serenno, and secretly became the Sith apprentice of Darth Sidious, taking the name Darth Tyranus. Using his political influence, he formed the Confederacy of Independent Systems, setting the stage for the Clone Wars.[edit]

Dooku was a man of refined elegance and aristocratic bearing, always measured in speech and demeanor. He possessed a sharp intellect and a deep sense of pride in his heritage and abilities. While outwardly charming and diplomatic, he was ruthless and manipulative, viewing others as tools to be used and discarded. His fall to the dark side stemmed from a genuine belief that the Republic and Jedi were beyond saving, but it also fed his ambition for power and control. Dooku first appears in Attack of the Clones as the charismatic leader of the Separatist movement, orchestrating the creation of a droid army and capturing Obi-Wan Kenobi. He reveals to Obi-Wan that the Senate is controlled by a Sith Lord, though this is a half-truth. He duels Yoda and escapes. In The Clone Wars animated series, his character is expanded: he trains Asajj Ventress as his Sith apprentice, but later betrays her on Sidious's orders. He is involved in numerous schemes, including the capture of Chancellor Palpatine. In Revenge of the Sith, Dooku is defeated in a lightsaber duel by Anakin Skywalker and executed on Palpatine's command, a pivotal moment that pushes Anakin further toward the dark side.
