@timofeyPumpkins, squash and gourds do more than just sit in grocery aisles; these crops feed households, power food processing lines, supply animal feed, boost farmer incomes and keep local food security standing across both tropical and temperate zones. When you look at who actually grew the most of this stuff in 2024, India leads the pack with 9,330,691 tonnes while China comes in second with 7,652,952 tonnes. Egypt took third place at 1,275,383 tonnes, followed closely by Russia with 1,160,000 tonnes and Ukraine reaching 1,110,000 tonnes. The United States produced 934,900 tonnes, Bangladesh generated 831,400 tonnes, Spain totaled 770,800 tonnes and Türkiye hit 742,000 tonnes. Italy's output was 583,000 tonnes, Mexico reached 568,600 tonnes, Niger came in at 517,700 tonnes and Indonesia produced 514,700 tonnes. Algeria finished with 476,600 tonnes, Poland made 425,200 tonnes, Malawi reached 421,400 tonnes, France produced 379,900 tonnes, Pakistan hit 378,100 tonnes, Cuba reached 321,400 tonnes and South Korea ended with 306,900 tonnes. These figures cover the year 2024, they are rounded, and the data comes from FAOSTAT via Terra Cultiva.
