    Overview

A shy, awkward teenager named Peter Parker is struggling to figure out who he is. He's also dealing with a tragic past and the secrets his parents left behind. Peter's life starts to change when he finds a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, a former Oscorp scientist. This discovery leads him on a path to uncovering Oscorp's secrets and his father's work with Dr. Curt Connors.

Peter's investigation takes an unexpected turn when he's bitten by a genetically altered spider at Oscorp. The bite grants him incredible powers, including superhuman strength, agility, and the ability to cling to surfaces. As he learns to control these new abilities, a personal tragedy strikes: his Uncle Ben is killed. Overwhelmed by grief and a sense of responsibility, Peter decides to use his powers to fight crime, adopting the persona of Spider-Man.

His new double life brings him into conflict with Captain George Stacy, Gwen Stacy's father, who is leading the police hunt for the masked vigilante. Peter's burgeoning romance with Gwen, a bright science student at his school, adds another layer of complexity to his already challenging existence. He must balance his responsibilities as a hero with his personal life, all while trying to solve the mystery of his parents' disappearance and confront the growing threat of Dr. Connors, who is experimenting with dangerous genetic modifications.

Peter Parker is a high school student living in Queens, New York, with his Aunt May and Uncle Ben. He's an intelligent but socially isolated teen, still haunted by the disappearance of his parents years earlier. One day, while searching through his father Richard Parker's old belongings, Peter finds a locked briefcase. Inside, he discovers his father's research notes, which mention his former partner, Dr. Curt Connors, a brilliant geneticist working at the powerful Oscorp.

Driven by a desire to understand his father's work and his sudden departure, Peter sneaks into Oscorp, posing as an intern. He manages to meet Dr. Connors, who is under immense pressure from Oscorp executive Rajit Ratha to make progress on his cross-species genetics research. Connors' ultimate goal is to regenerate lost limbs, a mission deeply personal to him as he himself is missing an arm. During his unauthorized visit, Peter is bitten by a genetically modified spider that had escaped from Dr. Connors' lab.

The spider bite imbues Peter with extraordinary abilities: enhanced strength, speed, agility, reflexes, and the power to stick to walls. He begins to experiment with his powers, initially finding a sense of liberation and purpose. However, his newfound abilities are soon put to a grim test. While returning home late one night, Peter encounters a convenience store robbery. He hesitates to intervene, feeling that it's not his responsibility, but the robber escapes and later kills Uncle Ben. Devastated and consumed by guilt, Peter vows to use his powers to protect the innocent and hunt down his uncle's killer. He creates a mask and a web-shooting device, becoming the masked vigilante known as Spider-Man.

Spider-Man begins a crusade against crime in the city, quickly becoming a public figure, much to the dismay of Police Captain George Stacy. Captain Stacy sees Spider-Man as a menace and orders a city-wide manhunt for the vigilante. Meanwhile, Peter's investigation into his father's research leads him back to Dr. Connors. He learns that his father and Connors were working on a decay rate algorithm, crucial for stabilizing genetic formulas. Connors, desperate to save his research and facing termination from Oscorp, decides to test an experimental serum on himself. The serum, derived from reptilian DNA, transforms him into a monstrous, reptilian creature known as the Lizard.

The Lizard, driven by primal instincts and a twisted belief that transforming humanity will solve its flaws, begins to plot a large-scale attack on New York City. He plans to disperse a chemical agent through the city's ventilation system, which will forcibly mutate the entire population into lizard-like beings. Peter, as Spider-Man, realizes the immense danger and the connection between his father's work, Dr. Connors, and the Lizard's terrifying plan. He must race against time to create an antidote, stop the Lizard's transformation of the city, and come to terms with the legacy of his parents and the responsibilities that come with his powers.
