Peter Parker

Peter Benjamin Parker grew up in Forest Hills, Queens, after his parents Richard and Mary Parker died in a plane crash when he was young. His Aunt May and Uncle Ben raised him with strong values. A brilliant but socially awkward science student, Peter attended a demonstration on radiation where a spider bitten by a radioactive ray bit him. The bite granted him spider-like powers including super strength, agility, wall-crawling, and a sixth sense for danger.

At first Peter used his gifts for personal gain. He wrestled for cash and let a burglar escape because it was not his problem. That same burglar later killed his Uncle Ben. The tragedy hit Peter hard and he adopted the motto with great power comes great responsibility.
