Sid and Nancy

January 1978 marks a chaotic turning point for the Sex Pistols as they bring their brand of anarchy to American soil. The tour quickly unravels, leaving bassist Sid Vicious stranded in New York with his girlfriend Nancy Spungen while the rest of the band dissolves into history. This gritty drama chronicles their descent from punk icons to two people trapped in a spiral of heroin addiction and violence. Director Alex Cox guides the story with a raw, unflinching style that refuses to romanticize the lifestyle.[edit]
