    Overview

Step into the shoes of a high school transfer student who moves to the sleepy town of Inaba. What starts as a quiet year soon unravels into a murder mystery when you and your friends discover the Midnight Channel, a strange TV world where people's inner shadows manifest. You'll summon Personas, fight through dungeons, and forge bonds with classmates and townsfolk to uncover the truth. This remake, developed by P-Studio and published by Atlus, rebuilds the 2012 classic Persona 4 Golden from the ground up for modern consoles. It launches on February 18, 2027, for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S. The visual and mechanical upgrades bring it in line with Persona 5 Royal and Persona 3 Reload, with a new soundtrack by Ryota Kozuka featuring rearranged tracks from Shoji Meguro's original score. Expect the same gripping story and social simulation gameplay, now with sharper graphics, refined combat, and quality-of-life improvements that make this definitive version worth the wait.

    Gameplay

The core loop alternates between daytime social simulation and nighttime dungeon crawling. By day, you attend school, take part-time jobs, and build Social Links with over 20 characters, which directly strengthens your Personas in combat. By night, you enter the TV world to explore randomly generated dungeons and fight Shadows using turn-based battles. The One More system grants an extra turn when you strike an enemy's weakness; knocking all enemies down triggers an All-Out Attack. New additions include baton pass mechanics from Persona 5 Royal, allowing party members to transfer turns, and a Shift ability for strategic combos. A Sprint mechanic speeds up dungeon traversal, and a Rewind feature lets you undo up to three actions per battle. The UI is fully redesigned with animated menus reminiscent of Persona 5 Royal's style.

    Story

The protagonist, Yu Narukami, moves to Inaba for a year and quickly gets drawn into a string of murders where victims are found hanging from TV antennas. He and his friends discover they can enter the TV world via the Midnight Channel, where each person confronts a Shadow self representing repressed emotions. Accepting the Shadow unlocks their Persona. The group must identify the killer while dealing with the god Izanami, who wants to plunge humanity into a fog of lies. Multiple endings depend on player choices, exploring themes of truth, identity, and human connection.
