The JOJOLands

The JOJOLands is the ninth major story arc in Hirohiko Araki's long-running manga series JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, continuing the rebooted universe that began with Steel Ball Run and then JoJolion. The story moves to Hawaii in the early 2020s, where a teenage gangster named Jodio Joestar dreams of striking it rich in the tropical paradise. But Jodio's ambitions pull him into a dangerous scheme involving a mysterious diamond, a corrupt land developer, and forces that blur the line between natural and supernatural. Araki's signature blend of stylish action, bizarre powers, and sharp character work is on full display as Jodio navigates a world where wealth and survival go hand in hand. Araki began serializing The JOJOLands in Shueisha's seinen magazine Ultra Jump on February 17, 2023, and it has continued to run since then. As with previous parts, it is collected in tankōbon volumes, though the series is still ongoing, so a final page count is not yet available. The manga is notable for its shift to a younger, more morally ambiguous protagonist and its vivid depiction of Hawaiian culture, which adds a fresh layer to the JoJo formula.
