Yehuda Amichai

Yehuda Amichai's body of work earned him the highest honors in Israeli literature. His Israel Prize in 1982 was a recognition of his lifetime contribution to Hebrew poetry. He was also nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature multiple times, a rare distinction for an Israeli poet.
