Chamberlain holds 72 NBA records, including the most points in a game (100), most rebounds in a game (55), and the highest single-season scoring average (50.4). He is the only player to never foul out in over 1,000 games. He was named to the NBA's 35th, 50th, and 75th anniversary teams, a rare honor. His 11 rebounding titles and 7 scoring titles are among the most in league history. In 2013, a bronze statue of Chamberlain was unveiled at the University of Kansas.

AwardsChamberlain won two NBA championships and four regular-season MVP awards. He was named Finals MVP in 1972, Rookie of the Year in 1960, and All-Star Game MVP in 1960. He led the league in scoring seven times and rebounding eleven times. He was selected to the All-NBA First Team seven times and the All-Defensive First Team twice. In 1978, he was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
