Born in Nghĩa Trụ on July 10, 1957, Tô Lâm is a Vietnamese politician with a long career in law enforcement and public service. He has held some of the highest offices in Vietnam, currently serving as the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the 13th President of Vietnam. Before ascending to these top positions, he spent over four decades in the People's Public Security Forces, rising through the ranks to become Minister of Public Security in 2016.
