Theophil Wurm

Wurm's most significant achievement was his leadership during a turbulent period in German church history. He stood firm against Nazi interference, was deposed and reinstated, and later played a key role in the founding of the EKD. His signing of the Stuttgart Declaration of Guilt marked a pivotal moment of reckoning for the German Protestant Church.
