    The Supremes achieved twelve number-one singles on the Billboard Hot 100, a record for any American vocal group at the time. Their album The Supremes A Go-Go was the first by a girl group to reach number one on the Billboard 200. They sold over 100 million records worldwide, making them one of the best-selling girl groups in history. In 1994, they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Billboard ranked them the greatest girl group of all time in 2017. Their music has been added to the Library of Congress's National Recording Registry.
