Ra'ana's achievements were historic firsts. She was the first female governor in Pakistan's history, a role she took on in 1973. She also became the first Chancellor of the University of Karachi. Her founding of APWA in 1949 created one of the country's most enduring women's organizations.Her diplomatic career included ambassadorships to the Netherlands and Italy, and she was a long-serving delegate to the International Labour Organization. These accomplishments made her a trailblazer for women in public service.

AwardsRa'ana received Pakistan's highest civilian honor, the Nishan-e-Imtiaz, for her contributions to the nation. She was also conferred the title "Māder-e-Pakistan" in 1950 and received honorary doctorates from several universities.
