ไพรัช เพิ่มฉลาด อดีตสมาชิกวงคาราบาว เคยมีผลงานร่วมกับวง 2 ชุด คือ ชุด "ท.ทหารอดทน" ในปี พ.ศ. 2526 และ "เมด อิน ไทยแลนด์" ในปี พ.ศ. 2527 ไพรัช มีชื่อเล่นว่า "หนุ่ม" (แต่นิยมเรียกกันในวงว่า "รัช") เกิดเมื่อวันที่ 25 กุมภาพันธ์ พ.ศ. 2490 ที่จังหวัดเชียงราย เป็นนักดนตรีแบ๊คอัพในห้องอัดของอโซน่า เข้าร่วมวงคาราบาวจากการชักชวนของ อาจารย์ธนิสร์ ศรีกลิ่นดี โดยเข้าร่วมวงในตำแหน่งมือเบส และกีตาร์ พร้อมกับตัวอ.ธนิสร์เอง, เทียรี่ เมฆวัฒนา และ อำนาจ ลูกจันทร์ (เป้า) ทั้งนี้เนื่องจาก อนุพงษ์ ประถมปัทมะ (อ๊อด) มือเบสอีกคนจากวงเพรสซิเดนท์ที่ได้มีการชักชวนมาก่อนหน้านั้นติดการเล่นอยู่กับวงเพรสซิเดนท์ที่สหรัฐอเมริกา ไพรัชจึงเข้ามาในวงเสมือนตัวแทนของอ๊อด จึงมีผลงานเพียง 2 ชุดเท่านั้นกับวงแต่กลับเป็นที่รู้จักไปทั่วประเทศจากอัลบั้มเมด อิน ไทยแลนด์ ที่สามารถทำยอดขายได้ถึง 5,000,000 ตลับ นอกจากนั้นไพรัชยังได้มีส่วนร่วมกับอัลบั้มชุด กัมพูชา ซึ่งเป็นอัลบั้มเดี่ยวชุดแรกของ ยืนยง โอภากุล หรือ แอ๊ด คาราบาว ซึ่งเป็นหัวหน้าวงอีกด้วย ไพรัช เพิ่มฉลาด เสียชีวิตลงในกลางปี พ.ศ. 2549 ด้วยโรคมะเร็งที่ลิ้น รวมอายุได้ 58 ปี[edit]
