Ollanta Humala

Ollanta Humala's political career is marked by significant milestones that reflect his impact on Peru's recent history. He is the last president to complete a full five-year term, a distinction that underscores the stability of his administration compared to his successors. His 2011 electoral victory over Keiko Fujimori was a historic moment, breaking the Fujimori family's political dominance. Humala also founded the Peruvian Nationalist Party, establishing a political force that continues to exist. While his presidency faced criticism, his completion of a full term is a notable achievement in a period of political upheaval.
