Tyson's career is marked by a string of historic achievements in science communication. He is the first person to have a full-dome planetarium show named after him (Cosmic Origins). His book Astrophysics for People in a Hurry spent months on the New York Times bestseller list and has been translated into over 40 languages. He is one of the few scientists to host a prime-time network television series, Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey, which reached an estimated 135 million viewers worldwide. His podcast StarTalk has consistently ranked among the top science podcasts on Apple Podcasts. In 2015, Time magazine named him one of the 100 most influential people in the world. He has received honorary doctorates from multiple universities and was inducted into the International Space Hall of Fame in 2017.
