Overview
Michael Bay returns to the helm for the third installment of his live-action Transformers saga, delivering a high-octane blend of science fiction and military action that pushes the franchise into deep space. Released in June 2011, this entry sees the Autobots operating openly with the US military unit NEST rather than hiding in the shadows. The story picks up years after the previous battle, following Sam Witwicky as he prepares for college while grappling with a past filled with alien robots and government secrets. Shia LaBeouf reprises his role as the human anchor, joined by Rosie Huntington-Whiteley as Carly, who navigates her own relationship with the chaos surrounding them.
