Ouija: Origin of Evil

Set in 1967 Los Angeles, Ouija: Origin of Evil shifts the franchise focus from a haunted object to a haunted home. Mike Flanagan directs this prequel, which follows Alice Zander, a widowed mother played by Elizabeth Reaser, and her two daughters as they try to make ends meet. The family turns to spiritualism, hosting séances for cash while secretly using a planchette that promises real communication with the dead. When their youngest daughter Doris, portrayed by Lulu Wilson, begins channeling a spirit named Anna, the scam takes a terrifying turn toward genuine possession.[edit]
