Jardel's two European Golden Shoes place him in elite company, only a handful of players have won the award multiple times. His 55 goals in a single season for Porto is a club record that still stands. He is one of the few players to have won both the Copa Libertadores and the UEFA Cup. His Champions League goal in 10.2 seconds was a record for over a decade. Despite a short international career, his club achievements mark him as one of the most prolific strikers of his generation.
