    Overview

    Origin Story

Loki Laufeyson was born on Jotunheim as the biological son of Laufey, the king of the Frost Giants. During a war between Asgard and Jotunheim, Odin discovered the infant abandoned in a temple. Too small to fit into Frost Giant society, the child became a tool for peace. Odin used the Casket of Ancient Winters to alter his form and raised him as an Asgardian prince alongside his own son Thor.

Loki grew up believing he was the biological son of Odin and Frigga. He studied sorcery under Frigga's guidance and developed a deep bond with his adoptive mother. Yet he always sensed he stood in Thor's shadow. The truth emerged when his skin turned blue after touching the Casket. This revelation shattered him. It fueled years of resentment and set him on a path of betrayal and conquest that would span centuries and realities.

After multiple schemes and apparent deaths, a time-displaced variant of Loki from 2012 lands in the hands of the Time Variance Authority. There he confronts his own life story through recorded events. The experience forces him to question his identity and choices. He forms unexpected alliances, falls for a variant named Sylvie, and ultimately chooses to sit at the end of time to hold together the multiverse's branching timelines.

    Personality

Loki combines razor-sharp intelligence with theatrical flair. He loves wordplay, grand speeches, and dramatic entrances. For much of his life he craved validation above all else, especially from Odin. This insecurity often pushed him toward manipulation and revenge. He could be cruel, yet he also showed genuine affection for Frigga, Thor, and later his TVA companions.

His journey reveals layers of self-doubt beneath the arrogance. Early on he oscillates between villain and reluctant ally. By the end of his story the trickster grows into someone who values others' freedom more than his own glory. He retains his wit and charm, but he learns to direct those traits toward protecting rather than conquering.
