Keino's list of honors is short but monumental. He is one of only a handful of athletes to win Olympic gold in both the 1500 meters and the steeplechase, a versatility that remains unmatched. His 1968 victory, achieved under physical duress, is still talked about as one of the greatest upsets and performances in Olympic history. The IAAF Hall of Fame induction in 2012 placed him among the sport's all-time greats, and his legacy continues to inspire new generations of Kenyan runners.
