Records
Asimov's achievements are staggering. He is one of only a handful of writers to win both the Hugo and Nebula Awards for Best Novel in the same year, for The Gods Themselves. His Foundation trilogy earned a one-time Hugo Award for Best All-Time Series, a recognition no other series has received. He was named Humanist of the Year in 1985 and served as president of the American Humanist Association. His influence extends beyond literature: the term "robotics" was coined by him, and his Three Laws have shaped real-world robotics ethics. An asteroid and a crater on Mars bear his name, and a Brooklyn elementary school is named in his honor.
