Harry Thuku's greatest accolade is his place in Kenyan history as a pioneer of nationalism. He was among the first to organize Africans politically, and his efforts directly contributed to the founding of KANU, which led Kenya to independence. His arrest and exile made him a symbol of resistance, and his autobiography remains a valuable historical document. Though his later opposition to Mau Mau complicates his legacy, his early contributions are undeniable.
