Schrödinger's Nobel Prize remains his most celebrated achievement, but his influence extends far beyond that single award. The Schrödinger equation is taught in every introductory quantum mechanics course worldwide. His concept of quantum entanglement became a cornerstone of quantum information science, and his book What Is Life? helped launch molecular biology. The Max Planck Medal recognized his lifetime contributions to theoretical physics. He was also elected to the Royal Society and the Austrian Academy of Sciences.
