Eldar Ryazanov's contributions to cinema were recognized with numerous state honors. He was named People's Artist of the USSR in 1984, the highest artistic title in the country. He also received two Orders of the Red Banner of Labor and the French Order of Fine Arts and Literature for his cultural work. His films have won multiple awards at national and international festivals, and his legacy as a master of comedy continues to be celebrated.
