Records
Yarshater's awards reflect a lifetime of scholarly achievement. He was the first person to receive the Association for Iranian Studies Lifetime Achievement Award for a scholar working outside Iran. His UNESCO award in 1959 recognized his early contributions, and the Giorgio Levi Della Vida Medal placed him among the foremost scholars of Islamic studies. The Bita Prize, given only eight times, honored his impact on Persian arts.
