Cho Hyejin (South Korean singer)

Cho Hyejin is a South Korean singer and dancer, best known as the leader of the girl group OURBIRTHDAY under INNIT Entertainment, a subsidiary of JYP Entertainment. She first caught the public's eye by winning the KBS audition program The Ddanddara in 2025, and she also competed on the dance competition show Street Dance Girls Fighter 2. As of 2026, she is preparing for OURBIRTHDAY's debut, with fans eagerly awaiting her official stage debut.

Her dual talent as both a vocalist and dancer, proven through her competition wins, sets her apart as a promising rookie in the K-pop scene. With her leadership role in the group, she is poised to become a central figure in the next generation of K-pop idols. [edit]

Born on October 24, 2007, in Sangju, a city in North Gyeongsang Province, Cho Hyejin grew up with a passion for performing. She trained in both singing and dancing from a young age, though specific details of her childhood and schooling remain private.

Her first taste of public attention came when she participated in Street Dance Girls Fighter 2, a dance competition that highlighted her impressive moves. The real breakthrough arrived in 2025 when she competed on The Ddanddara, a KBS variety audition show created with JYP Entertainment's founder J.Y. Park. Her performance of "Comes and Goes" on episodes 6–7 went viral, and she ultimately won the competition, securing her path to debut. [edit]

Winning The Ddanddara in 2025 was the pivotal moment that launched Cho Hyejin's career. The victory led her to sign with INNIT Entertainment, a subsidiary of JYP Entertainment, and she was soon announced as a member and leader of the upcoming girl group OURBIRTHDAY. As of 2026, the group is still in its pre-debut phase, with no official debut date announced. Her Genius page lists one solo song, indicating she has started recording, but no solo releases have been officially promoted yet. Fans are eagerly waiting for more details about her debut and future activities. [edit]

Cho Hyejin's public image is still forming, but she is already known for her powerful vocals and sharp dance moves. Her competition wins have built a reputation as a well-rounded performer, and her role as leader of OURBIRTHDAY adds to her appeal as a strong, dependable figure. Fans appreciate her down-to-earth demeanor and her dedication to her craft, often noting her humble attitude in pre-debut clips. As she prepares for her official debut, her image is that of a promising rookie with a bright future ahead. [edit]

Cho Hyejin's global footprint is only beginning to form. As of the iFANN data collection in August 2026, the platform has not yet evaluated her fame, meaning no official ranking exists for her on any iFANN list, whether global, regional, or by profession. This is typical for artists who have just debuted, and her current status is that of a rising star whose recognition is still being measured. Her fanbase, too, is in its infancy. There is no documented fandom name, and fans have not yet organized into a formal community with a shared identity. While early supporters gather in online spaces, they have not adopted a collective title, and no official fan club has been announced by her agency. As her career progresses and her public profile expands, both her fame metrics and her fandom's structure are expected to develop, but for now, they remain undocumented.[edit]

Cho Hyejin's name in Korean is 조혜진, and her romanized surname matches the title of the song "Comes and Goes" (originally by Jo Hyejin), which she performed on The Ddanddara. She is one of the youngest leaders in K-pop, taking the role at just 17 years old. Her birth sign is Scorpio, despite some sources mistakenly listing Sagittarius. She has no official fandom name yet, but fans often refer to her as "Hyejin-ie" in online communities. Her pre-debut activities have already earned her a dedicated following, with fan edits and compilations of her performances circulating on social media.

A frequently retold story among fans is her victory on the survival program The Ddanddara, a feat that is often cited as a reflection of her talent and potential. Additionally, her participation in Street Dance Girls Fighter 2 is part of her pre-debut narrative, though no specific viral moment from that show has been documented. More recently, her debut with OURBIRTHDAY in August 2026 has been framed as a significant event in the K-pop industry, given that it marks JYP Entertainment's first new girl group in years. These milestones, while not yet legendary in the traditional sense, form the early chapters of her story.[edit]

No public information is available about Cho Hyejin's family, including her parents or siblings. She has not shared details about her household or upbringing in any accessible interviews or posts. As a rookie idol, she may choose to keep her family life private for now. [edit]

Cho Hyejin is closely associated with J.Y. Park, the founder of JYP Entertainment, who served as a host and judge on The Ddanddara. Her fellow members of OURBIRTHDAY are also key figures in her career, though their names have not been publicly documented yet. [edit]

Cho Hyejin has not been publicly linked to any romantic partners. As a rookie idol who was a minor until October 2025, she has maintained a clean public image with no dating rumors or confirmed relationships. As of 2026, she is reported to be single, focusing entirely on her career and upcoming debut. [edit]

As of 2026, iFANN's editorial research estimates Cho Hyejin's net worth at $1 million. This figure is based on her early career earnings from her competition win and trainee activities, though specific financial details are not publicly disclosed. As a pre-debut idol, her income currently comes from trainee support and any initial group activities. Once OURBIRTHDAY debuts, her earnings are expected to grow significantly through album sales, endorsements, and performances.[edit]
