Chen-ning Yang's accolades reflect a career of extraordinary depth. The 1957 Nobel Prize marked the first for a Chinese scientist, a historic moment. His receipt of the U.S. National Medal of Science and the Benjamin Franklin Medal highlighted his impact on American physics.
