Obito Uchiha

Born into the Uchiha clan of Konohagakure, Obito grew up as an orphan raised by his grandmother. As a child, he dreamed of becoming Hokage, much like his teammate Naruto would years later. He was placed on Team Minato alongside Kakashi Hatake and Rin Nohara, under the future Fourth Hokage. During the Third Great Ninja War, the team infiltrated enemy territory to destroy the Kannabi Bridge. In a cave collapse, Obito pushed Kakashi to safety but was crushed by a boulder. Believed dead, he gave his left Sharingan eye to Kakashi as a gift.

Obito survived thanks to Madara Uchiha, who saved him and nursed him back to health using Hashirama Senju's cells. Over months of rehabilitation, Madara indoctrinated Obito with the history of the shinobi world and the Uchiha clan's curse. When Rin was killed by Kakashi, Obito witnessed the tragedy and snapped, abandoning his ideals. Obito's arc is a spiral from idealism to despair and back. His first major turn came when he woke to find Rin dead by Kakashi's hand. For years, he worked in the shadows, manipulating the Akatsuki and orchestrating events like the Nine-Tails' attack on Konoha, which killed the Fourth Hokage. He revealed himself as Tobi during the Kazekage Rescue Mission, pretending to be a bumbling member before taking control of the organization after Pain's death.

During the Fourth Shinobi World War, Obito declared himself Madara and declared war on the Five Great Nations. He became the Ten-Tails' jinchūriki, gaining godlike power. After being defeated by Naruto and his friends, he was pulled into a conversation with Kakashi and Naruto. They reminded him of his old self, and he chose redemption. Obito helped the Allied Forces fight Madara and later Kaguya, using Kamui to protect Naruto and Kakashi. He died peacefully, reunited with Rin in the afterlife.[edit]
