Lin Beifong

Lin Beifong was born around 98 AG to Toph Beifong, the legendary earthbender who invented metalbending. Her father was Kanto, a man Toph had an affair with while still married to Suyin's father. Growing up in Toph's shadow, Lin trained relentlessly to master earthbending and metalbending, eventually joining the Republic City Police Force. Her dedication and skill earned her the position of chief, making her the top law enforcement officer in the city. But a deep rift formed with her mother after Lin discovered the affair, and her relationship with half-sister Suyin soured when Suyin's reckless youth led to a accident that left Lin scarred, both physically and emotionally.[edit]
