    Overview

    Origin Story

Itachi Uchiha was born on June 9 to Fugaku and Mikoto Uchiha, the eldest son of the Uchiha clan leader. From a young age, he showed extraordinary talent, graduating from the Ninja Academy at age 7 and mastering the Sharingan by age 8. He became an Anbu captain at 13, but the trauma of witnessing war as a child instilled in him a deep desire for peace. When the Uchiha clan began plotting a coup against Konoha, Itachi was caught between loyalty to his clan and his village. Under orders from Konoha elder Danzo Shimura, Itachi was forced to eliminate his entire clan to prevent a civil war. He accepted the mission on the condition that his younger brother Sasuke be spared. On the night of the massacre, Itachi killed his parents and all other Uchiha, leaving Sasuke alive to one day seek revenge and become a hero of Konoha.

    Personality

Itachi is calm, collected, and deeply introspective. He possesses a profound wisdom and a philosophical outlook on life, often speaking in metaphors about the nature of reality and perception. Despite his gentle demeanor, he is ruthlessly pragmatic when necessary, willing to bear the burden of being hated to protect others. His love for his brother Sasuke is unconditional, and he orchestrated his entire life to ensure Sasuke's safety and growth. Itachi is a pacifist at heart, but his actions are driven by a tragic sense of duty. He rarely shows emotion, but his inner turmoil and sorrow are evident in his eyes. He values the village's stability over personal bonds, yet his final actions reveal a deep, abiding love for those he sacrificed.

    Story Arc

Itachi's story unfolds in layers. Initially presented as a cold-blooded villain who murdered his clan for power, he appears as an antagonist hunting Naruto and clashing with Sasuke. In Part I, he and his partner Kisame Hoshigaki attack Konoha to capture the Nine-Tails, but Itachi's true motives remain hidden. In Part II, Itachi's health deteriorates due to overuse of his Mangekyo Sharingan. He orchestrates a final battle with Sasuke, intending to die at his brother's hands to awaken Sasuke's Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan. During their fight, Itachi reveals he never intended to harm Sasuke and implanted Shisui Uchiha's eye in a crow to protect him. After his death, the truth of the Uchiha massacre is revealed: Itachi was a double agent ordered by Konoha to stop the coup. He is later resurrected via Impure World Reincarnation during the Fourth Great Ninja War. Freed from control, he helps defeat Kabuto Yakushi and shares his story with Sasuke. His soul finally departs, leaving Sasuke with the words, "I will love you always."

    Memorable Quotes

People live their lives bound by what they accept as correct and true. That's how they define 'reality'. But what does it mean to be 'correct' or 'true'? They are merely vague concepts... Their 'reality' may all be a mirage.
Even the strongest of opponents always has a weakness.
The ones who aren't able to acknowledge their own shortcomings are bound to fail again.
    I will love you always.
Knowledge and awareness are vague, and perhaps better called illusions.
