Albus Dumbledore

Born in the late 1880s to Percival and Kendra Dumbledore in the village of Mould-on-the-Wold, Albus grew up alongside his brother Aberforth and sister Ariana. When Ariana was six, she was attacked by Muggle boys who saw her performing magic, leaving her traumatized and unable to control her powers. Percival attacked the boys in retaliation and died in Azkaban. Kendra moved the family to Godric's Hollow, where she kept Ariana hidden. In 1899, Kendra was accidentally killed by one of Ariana's magical outbursts. Albus, only seventeen, was forced to abandon his plans to travel the world with his friend Elphias Doge and instead became the head of the household.

That summer, Albus met Gellert Grindelwald, a brilliant wizard who had been expelled from Durmstrang. The two formed an intense friendship, bonding over their shared ambition to overthrow the Statute of Secrecy and establish wizarding dominance over Muggles for the 'Greater Good.' They planned to seek the Deathly Hallows, believing the Elder Wand would help them achieve their goals. Aberforth grew suspicious of Grindelwald's influence and confronted them. He saves Harry from the Inferi in the cave in Half-Blood Prince and orchestrates the Order of the Phoenix's revival after Voldemort's resurrection in Goblet of Fire. His most dramatic development comes posthumously in Deathly Hallows, where revelations show he raised Harry 'like a pig for slaughter,' knowing Harry must die to destroy the Horcrux inside him. This manipulative side contrasts with his earlier fatherly role.
