Catherine of Aragon

Catherine of Aragon's achievements are notable for their rarity in her era. She was the first known female ambassador in European history, a role she took on in 1507. As regent in 1513, she helped secure a major victory at the Battle of Flodden. She was also a patron of Renaissance humanism, commissioning works from Juan Luis Vives and supporting scholars like Erasmus and Thomas More.
