Borommakot's reign is celebrated as the last golden age of Ayutthaya, a period of peace and creativity before the kingdom's fall. His extensive temple renovations, including Wat Phra Si Sanphet and Wat Chaiwatthanarat, remain some of the most impressive ruins in Thailand. His influence on later Thai kings, particularly King Rama I, who modeled his coronation on Borommakot's, underscores his lasting significance.
