Billy Bremner's individual accolades reflect his dominance as a midfielder. He is the only Leeds United player to have won the Football Writers' Association Footballer of the Year award, and he also took the Scottish Footballer of the Year prize in the same season. His four consecutive Leeds United Player of the Year awards from 1970 to 1973 are a club record. He was inducted into both the English Football Hall of Fame and the Scottish Football Hall of Fame in 2004, and a bronze statue of him stands outside Elland Road, a permanent tribute to his status as the club's greatest-ever player.
