Russell's achievements span philosophy, mathematics, literature, and activism. He co-founded analytic philosophy and produced Principia Mathematica, one of the most influential works in logic. His Nobel Prize in Literature recognized his humanitarian writings, and his De Morgan and Sylvester Medals honored his mathematical contributions. The Kalinga Prize and Jerusalem Prize further underscored his impact on science communication and human rights. He was appointed to the Order of Merit in 1949, one of the highest British civilian honors. His Russell-Einstein Manifesto led to the Pugwash Conferences, which won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1995.
