Benny Morris

Benny Morris's greatest accolade is the lasting impact of his scholarship. His 1989 book The Birth of the Palestinian Refugee Problem is considered a foundational text in the study of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and it has been cited in thousands of academic works. He is credited with pioneering the New Historians movement, which fundamentally changed how the 1948 war is studied. His later works, including Righteous Victims and The Thirty-Year Genocide, have been praised for their depth and rigor. While he has not sought mainstream awards, his influence on his field is undeniable, and he is often invited to speak at universities and conferences worldwide.
