Bapsi Sidhwa

Bapsi Sidhwa's literary achievements were recognized internationally. Her novel Cracking India was shortlisted for the Booker Prize in 1991, a rare honor for a Pakistani author at the time. She received Pakistan's Sitara-i-Imtiaz for her contributions to literature, and her work has been translated into numerous languages.
