Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis

Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis never sought conventional awards, but his impact is measured in the battles he won and the movements he built. Under his leadership, the PMF became a decisive force against ISIS, liberating key Iraqi cities. His founding of Kataib Hezbollah created one of the most effective anti-American insurgencies in the region. While he received no formal honors, his name adorns a missile and his memorial is a pilgrimage site. For his supporters, that is a greater tribute than any medal.
