Lincoln is the most consistently top-ranked U.S. president in historian surveys, placing first in every C-SPAN Historians Survey since 2000. He is the only president to have a major memorial in Washington, D.C., his face carved on Mount Rushmore, and his image on both a coin and a bill. The Lincoln Memorial, dedicated in 1922, is one of the most visited national monuments. Lincoln's Gettysburg Address and second inaugural address are considered among the greatest speeches in American history. His legacy as the Great Emancipator who preserved the Union during the Civil War makes him a central figure in American identity. In 2009, the U.S. Mint issued four Lincoln Bicentennial pennies, and in 2013, he was inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame, reflecting his lesser-known athletic prowess.
