Its 2023 world total is 54,433 tU, with Kazakhstan at 21,109 tU, Canada at 11,001 tU, Namibia at 6,986 tU and Australia at 4,693 tU. USGS likewise reports the 2023 global figure as approximately 141.2 million pounds of U₃O₈, equivalent to roughly 64,000 tonnes U₃O₈, and says uranium was produced by 17 countries that year. Differences between datasets can therefore arise from methodology, reporting revisions and whether production is expressed as U or U₃O₈.
