@FootynewsA 64.2 million USD surplus is the number that jumps out of River Plate's books, and it sits on top of revenues near 223.6 million USD. That puts the Millonario in the same economic bracket as Flamengo and Palmeiras, which is the part of this that actually matters for South America. So where does it come from? Prizes and competitions lead the way at 56.3 million USD. The member base adds 54 million USD, sponsorships chip in 42 million USD, and player sales account for 37.6 million USD. Running the Monumental Stadium brought 14.5 million USD, while TV rights, the thing everyone assumes carries a club, only supplied 13 million USD. That last figure is the whole story: dues, commercial deals, tournament money and the club's own operations are what hold this structure up, not a broadcast check. The source frames it as a question worth asking, whether River now stands level with the Brazilian giants. On these numbers, that question has an answer. #RiverPlate #ClubeDeRegatasDoFlamengo
