@FootynewsRiver Plate is pushing ahead with a renovation that aims to make The Monumental a genuine monument of South American football. Suspended from the roof, brand-new hanging boxes are coming in, each built to hold 40 people with climate-controlled seats, catering, and a clear, unobstructed sightline over the pitch. The entire stands get full roofing, a fifth tier of terraces is being added on top, and multiple sectors are getting a modern aesthetic refresh. Once it all comes together, the projected crowd capacity hits up to 101,000 spectators, putting it right among the most imposing and modern stadiums in South America.
