About this photo
The image is a side-by-side comparison of two aerial views. The left side depicts a historical rendering of "1325 AZTEC TENOCHTITLAN" as a city built on lakes, with labels for various lakes and Tlacopan/Tacuba. The right side shows a modern, hazy aerial view of "TODAY MEXICO CITY" labeled "CDMX," with labels indicating the airport, the former Lake Texcoco bed, and the remnant Xochimilco canals. The style is informational and comparative, highlighting urban development and environmental change.
