@timofeyKazakhstan wrapped up the chickpea list at 11,000 tonnes, but let's talk about the top of the table first. India pulled 11,038,756 tonnes in 2024, which is the biggest number on the board by a mile. Australia landed second at 2,267,000 tonnes, then Türkiye took third with 575,000 tonnes. After that the drop gets steep: Ethiopia at 443,954 tonnes, Myanmar at 419,221, Russia at 414,127, Canada at 286,768, Mexico at 266,628, and the United States at 255,460. Pakistan came through with 209,090 tonnes and Iran added 181,100. Argentina yielded 116,985, Sudan 103,700, Morocco 51,278, Algeria 40,500. Yemen reached 39,800 and Syria 39,100, then Tanzania at 23,300 and China at 15,645 before Kazakhstan closed it out. FAOSTAT put this together for 2024, rounded to the nearest tonne, and a few of the numbers are estimates instead of official reported figures
