Pittman was convicted of conspiracy in a 2006 drive-by murder at 19 and served more than a decade. He is 39 now, works in community reform, and says he never hid his past. If prisons and second chances are supposed to produce results, a man who left the gang and came out the other side is the kind of voice a reform panel would want… right?
