He went from studying electrical engineering at the University of Bristol to grabbing a degree and then a math PhD at Cambridge. His big moment came in 1928 with the Dirac equation, which basically sewed quantum mechanics and special relativity together and straight up predicted antimatter before anyone had ever seen a positron.
